It is with great sadness that we remember our friend and colleague, Joe, who was a much-loved member of the Tyneside Home Improvements team.
Following a career in the Royal Navy, Joe joined THI in 2020 and spent over five years working in our warehouse, becoming a familiar face and an important part of the business.
Joe joined us at a time when THI was entering a sustained period of growth, and his hard work, experience, and willingness to help made a real difference as the business developed.
But Joe brought much more than that.
Known for his dry sense of humour, unmistakable laugh and endless supply of stories and jokes, Joe really was part of the fixtures and fittings at THI. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was always ready to lend a hand.
We will particularly miss his familiar “Whey aye…”, usually accompanied by that unique sense of humour that could brighten even the busiest of days.
Joe was more than a colleague. He was a friend, a character, and a valued part of the THI family.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside him.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Joe’s family and friends.
Rest in peace, Joe. From all your friends and colleagues at THI.
